What is drift karting?

Forget what you know about go karting. Drift Hall karts are built to slide. Slick tyres. Smooth plastic rear wheels. Almost no grip. Hit the accelerator and the kart glides sideways. Still a race. Just not a straight one.

How do I drive a Drift Kart?

Drifting runs on instinct. Put your foot down on the accelerator then approaching a corner, lift off the pedal and turn to slide and ride. If you’re drifting and want to pull out of it. Steer against the turn and accelerate, the kart will pull straight. If you drive into a barrier, turn the steering wheel full lock in one direction. Accelerate – you’re back in the game.

How long is a session?

Two 10-minute races with a break in-between. Before that there’s a briefing and a safety video. You should allow an hour for your full session.

Do I need to wear a helmet?

Helmets are required for anyone under 12. Everyone else can choose. Helmets are available at the venue.

How old / tall do I need to be?

Drivers need to be at least 8+ years old and 130cm+.

What should I wear?

Anything goes. Just nothing loose. Remove loose clothing before you drive. Closed shoes only. No sandals or open shoes.

Can I do doughnuts?

Absolutely. Turn the wheel full lock. Put your foot down. You’ll quit before the kart does.

Is there a shortcut?

Keep it between us. There’s a shortcut on the track. Use it at the right moment and boost past the competition.
